-
Volunteer with us at VEAP! Join us for lunch in the Community Room at VEAP from 11:30am - 12:00pm and hear more about VEAP and their mission. After that, we'll help out with some volunteer projects they have for us. We have room for a maximum of 15 attendees. We'll be doing the following:
- Sorting and quality checking donations
- Sorting and bagging produce
- Variety of warehouse tasks, as needed
Attire:
- Must wear closed-toed shoes such as tennis shoes
- Clothing okay to get dusty or dirty
- Recommended that each person brings a water bottle to stay hydrated while working.
Social Media recognition
You can help VEAP spread their message by following them on Facebook and Twitter (find links at veap.org). Post pictures of your volunteer experience at VEAP and VEAP's Marketing Coordinator will like and share them. Additionally, VEAP can post pictures of your group on our social media outlets for you to share with your network.
VEAP's mission is to create pathways to stronger, more hopeful, communities through access to healthy food, housing stability and supportive services.
VEAP is a basic needs and social services organization whose programs promote access to healthy foods, stable housing and other supportive services. VEAP's programs are designed to address a particular need and when used together provide hope and can help avoid a financial crisis such as loss of housing, transportation or employment. Whether the hardship is from a disability, job transition, or the financial and physical stresses of aging, VEAP has been helping our neighbors in need for 45 years.
