Kristina Smitten is the Director of Sustainability and a Development Manager at Hillcrest Development, LLLP. Hillcrest Development specializes in redevelopment and renovation of polluted, obsolete, or otherwise challenged properties and has completed over 75 projects to date. Prior to joining Hillcrest in 2014 Kristina was Principal of Smitten Group for 10+ years serving private and public clients with community revitalization in the areas of policy and planning, development, brownfield cleanup, sustainability, and grant-writing. Kristina serves as a Board Member of Lambda Alpha MN, a land economics organization, and is appointed to the Metropolitan Council’s Land Use Advisory Committee.

The Economic Development Committee’s purpose is to further the economic stability and growth of the city of Edina. This committee encourages and guides economic development in the city of Edina through advocacy and program development, support for existing businesses and recruitment of new businesses.
