Crisis Communication
Speaker: Rose McKinney of Pineapple RM
These days, “business as usual” is less and less usual and crises seem more and more commonplace. Will your business be prepared for a potential crisis? History reminds us of the Tylenol crisis and the Exxon Valdez. Today, the security breach at Target is the top-of-mind crisis. Not all of us will work through a crisis the magnitude of these. Nonetheless, our organizations do need to be prepared for a more common definition of crisis: A major occurrence with a potentially negative outcome affecting the organization, company, or industry, as well as its publics, products, services, or good name. Quite simply, a crisis is anything that interrupts normal business transactions and can sometimes threaten the existence of the organization. During an informative session on crisis communication, learn the steps your business can take to be prepared should crisis strike and the best ways to communicate before, during and after.
