Join your fellow chamber members for a tour, breakfast and networking at VEAP.
VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) founders believed that helping a neighbor in need ultimately strengthens the community. Since 1973 VEAP has provided a range of services to help low-income individuals and families meet their immediate needs and attain long-term stability. Today, VEAP operates the largest food pantry in the state of Minnesota and serves the communities of Bloomington, Richfield, Edina and a portion of South Minneapolis utilizing a unique mix of professional and volunteer services. VEAP provides services to over 7,500 individuals each month with the help of hundreds of volunteers. In January 2014, VEAP opened the doors to it new facility at 9600 Aldrich Avenue in Bloomington. Join us for networking, coffee and tours of our newly renovated facility from 7:30 am – 8 am. We will move into a discussion about the nature of poverty in our community and VEAP’s response to the situation from 8:00 am – 8:45 am.Date and Time
