Inspiring Purpose AND Igniting Profit - making the alignments that matter

Diane Nettifee, president and founder of Magis Ventures, a company that helps leaders align values and purpose with strategic actions to create strong, sustainable organizations. Renowned in the emerging area of Values-Led™ leadership.  Too often we hear organizations exist for profit, or they exist for a noble cause, this “either/or” has generated a fragmentation that lies at the heart of this dilemma. To create a sustainable future for generations to come we need a transformation to our paradigm from “either/ or” to “AND.”  Diane will discuss her work with several organizations on creating work cultures that are collectively inspired by a meaningful purpose. Her work is grounded in significant research that shows a clear and compelling link between strong purpose and sustainable profit. Creating high performance values-led teams capable of inspiring the trust necessary to align an organization lies at the core of Magis Ventures expertise.  Ms. Nettifee also teaches in the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. Ms. Nettifee holds a B.A. in marketing and management from MN State University, Mankato; and both a Master of Theological Studies and a M.A. in Spiritual Direction from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, MA. Her book, “Inspiring Purpose AND Igniting Profit” will be published in late 2012 and provides a practical how to guide for leaders to turn on purpose in their organizations. She is an avid scuba diver and a certified scuba instructor, musician, cyclist and skier. She resides in Bloomington with her husband Jerry and Springer spaniel, Zoe.
